Ubisoft has revealed the theme for the next Assassin’s Creed via a live stream with Instagrammer and artist Kode Abdo, better known as BossLogic.
You can watch it above. It mostly reveals the game’s setting is in the Viking Age, as previously rumoured. BossLogic’s artwork appears to show Viking warriors battling in a sunny field on one side, with icy waters and boats on the other side, and a silhouette of a Viking warrior.
BossLogic has been building the piece gradually, adding different elements over time. In the last little while, he’s started to put sails on the longships, which leaves us in no doubt. To be honest, considering we’ve just come off the back of watching the last season of the History Channel’s Vikings (Prime Video in the UK), we can safely say that there are few other settings we’d embrace as eagerly.
Other than that, little is known about the new Assassin’s Creed installment. But, as big fans of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, we’re very much looking forward to what Ubisoft will present later this year. The game is scheduled to come out sometime in 2020. We’ll keep you posted.
